Why did Jesus have to die? What does the cross mean for you today? How has the Church talked about the Cross of Christ through the centuries? Mark your calendars for this year’s Lenten Lecture Series: Jesus, the Cross, and You. Pastor Tim and Pastor Michael will take us deep into a Biblical understanding of what theologians call the atonement, the crucial moment in human history where Jesus of Nazareth, fully God and fully human, was crucified by the will of the Father at the hands of the Romans upon the insistence of the Jewish religious authorities. The series runs on Wednesdays from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. from March 9 through April 6. Dinner begins at 5 p.m., cost of $8 for adults and $4 for children. The Nursery will open at 5:30 p.m. and we will offer the same children's and youth programming that we do for GTW.
