When we pray, we catch glimpses of another Kingdom, another place and way of life. In that Kingdom, all that exists loves and serves the Lord in perfect obedience. This produces peace, order, prosperity and joy. Prayer is a way of calling that Kingdom down. If there were no Kingdom of God, we would truly be in hopeless despair. But the Kingdom is there, and we can see its power breaking into our world as we pray “Your Kingdom Come.”
