Remember when Jesus wrapped a towel around His waist and washed the disciples’ feet? At the end of it, He said, this is an example for you. I’m pretty sure they laughed. If you want to cultivate humility, get yourself into a place of service. If you want to make humble pie, get yourself into a place of service to someone who does not appreciate it at all!
