Those who name Jesus are sent on mission. As we kick off the new year, let us look at 2025 as an opportunity to spread the name of Jesus around the world. The shepherds hurried off to see the child that was announced as a gift to the whole world. Mary could see that the nations were already longing to see her child. These same shepherds turned about and went to tell everyone they could find about Jesus. In their joy, they told the story. Jesus has been born. On the eighth day, she and Joseph named him Jesus. This is the name every person in the world longs to hear, longs to know, longs to name for his or herself. Jesus is the light of the world. Let’s tell others about him.
