An invitation to the practice of prayer
As we prepare our hearts for Pentecost, we invite you to 40 Days in a Spirit of Prayer—a journey of prayer, fasting, and spiritual renewal. From April 29 to June 8, we will come together as a church family to seek God’s presence, intercede for our city, and deepen our faith.
This season of prayer culminates with 24 hours of continuous prayer leading up to Pentecost Sunday, June 8, where we will form a Circle of Prayer around the church—symbolizing our unity and dependence on the Holy Spirit.
Join us in prayer and take part in a movement of faith leading to transformation.
Why Prayer & Fasting?
Throughout Scripture, prayer and fasting are powerful spiritual disciplines that draw us closer to God.
- Jesus fasted for 40 days before beginning His ministry (Matthew 4:1-11).
- The early church devoted themselves to prayer, and the Holy Spirit moved mightily (Acts 2:42-47).
Fasting is not just about giving something up—it’s about creating space for God.
We fast to empty ourselves of distractions and fill the space with God’s presence through Scripture, worship, and prayer. Whether you fast from food, screens, or other distractions, the goal is to turn our hearts fully to Christ.
