FIRST PRES MISSION ENGAGEMENT

Living the Great Commission Together.

At the heart of Mission Engagement at First Pres is our call to be daily Living the Great Commission Together—joining as a community to share Christ’s love in word and deed, both near and far. Our congregation strives to reflect the love of Jesus as Light and Life for the City. We do this by seeking to embody the hope and truth of Christ by building partnerships that serve, empower, and transform lives. 

Whether engaging locally or globally, the Mission Engagement Ministry at First Pres aims to equip and mobilize our congregation to respond faithfully to God’s call—to be His light, bring His life, and reflect His love to every corner of our city and beyond.

Crossfire | First Sundays @ FIrst Pres

On the first Sunday of every month, First Pres collects non-perishable food donations for our partner, Crossfire Ministries. Crossfire is a no-cost grocery warehouse that reflects God’s love amid life’s tight places. We love partnering with them to help the members of our community who are facing food insecurity. Just place your donations in the grocery carts, located in the Plaza (Worship Center) or the Narthex (Sanctuary).

Global Impact

Collaborating with our brothers and sisters around the globe.

We aim to continue building deep, kingdom relationships with the churches and organizations with whom God has called us to be partners. First Pres members are invited to: participate in partnership visits; support the partnership visit teams; join our partnership calls; pray for our teams and partners; welcome our partners when they visit; learn about global mission movements and how God is moving in different parts of the world. EGYPT | First Pres has a decades-long partnership with Heliopolis Evangelical Church, one of the largest and most active Protestant congregations in the Middle East. We also partner with multiple other ministries in Cairo.

GUATEMALA | Through our relationship with Del Camino Connection, we are in partnership with two ministries in Guatemala: Proyeto Socorro, based in San Pablo, San Marcos, and Poeima, based in Patzún, Chimaltenango.

MONGOLIA | For over 20 years, we've been joining with Mongolia Campus Crusade for Christ (MCCC), a Christian ministry focused on sharing the gospel and making disciples across Mongolia. We also support Reaching Mongolia and the Mongolian Branch of the East Asia School of Theology, which are empowering Mongolians to lead gospel movements locally and globally.
