Dominican Republic 2024 Mission Trip

Supporting the participants of the 2024 Dominican Republic mission trip.

Laurel Drew

I’m Laurel and I am a fifteen-year-old homeschooler from a military family. Because my family travels a lot, I have a passion of traveling and seeing the world. Truly, I enjoy encountering different languages and cultures. While I am nervous about traveling outside the country without my family for the first time, I am excited because I love doing ministry and serving others. I have always had curiosity about mission trips. Then, last summer, I felt called to do ministry. Now is my opportunity to jump in.

Elyse Eilmes

My name is Elyse Eilmes, I am a high school student, and member of First Pres Church. I am thrilled to be given this opportunity to go on a mission trip with the church! I am excited to branch out into the world, share the love of Jesus beyond Colorado Springs, grow in my faith, and I am excited to do all of this alongside my church family. This will be my first time out of the country, and on a mission trip with First Pres, I am looking forward to the new experiences and knowledge to come from them. I can’t wait for everything that God has in store for this trip and the participants

Going on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic is something I'm really excited about. I believe it's an amazing opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others. It's a chance to serve, learn, and grow while immersing myself in a different culture. I want to help those in need, spread love and kindness, and spread the word of God while creating lasting memories. It's a way for me to give back and make a difference in the world.

Sam Holtzman

I am eager to embark on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic because of my strong desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. The Dominican Republic presents a unique opportunity for service, as it grapples with various social challenges. I am drawn to help others in need and serve wholeheartedly and help serve in things like assisting in educational and community development projects. By participating in this mission trip, I aim to not only offer my time and skills, but to plant a seed in this part of the world and spread the love of Jesus. This experience will undoubtedly broaden my perspective, enhance my empathy, and allow me to contribute to positive, sustainable change in the Dominican Republic. By the end of the trip my biggest goal is to spread the love and care that every human deserves.

Sophie Lowery

I want to serve the people of Santo Domingo and share the word of God. My hope is to make an impact on their lives as I know they will make an impact on mine. Through this mission trip I am looking forward to growing my spiritual life, forming new relationships, and gaining new perspective from others by walking in the shoes of those less fortunate. Serving others will help me grow as a Christian and see the way God has moved in our lives. As I’m working towards confirmation in May and attending the mission trip, my end goal is to glorify God in all that I do. I choose Him!

Ava McCabe

Hi, my name is Ava McCabe, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to go on this mission trip! I can not wait to participate in serving the Lord and His Kingdom with fellow believers, and I am confident He is going to do amazing things. I believe that God has called all of us to glorify and serve Him, whether that be within our homes, the city, or across the world. Going to the Dominican Republic is a great opportunity for me to be a part of expanding God's Kingdom, as well as to experience His work in other cultures. Thank you for all your prayers and support as we continue to prepare for this trip!

Charlotte McCabe

My name is Charlotte McCabe, and I am so excited to be part of this year's mission trip team. I am looking forward to going to the Dominican Republic because I get to both experience a new culture and be a part of the mission to share the Gospel. I am also currently enrolled in a missions class at my school, and I would like to implement the tools and skills I have learned from it on this trip. I cannot wait to see how the Lord is going to use me this summer for His kingdom.

Traveling to the Dominican Republic will provide me with numerous opportunities. Not only will it enhance my knowledge of other cultures and broaden my perspective of the world, but it also allows me to travel and share Jesus' love with others. This trip will allow me to help improve the community in which we are traveling while gaining experience and teaching others more about Jesus and sharing his word. Through my kindness and generosity, I hope to be a messenger of God's word and show his love to those we encounter on our trip.
