We are delighted to extend an invitation to a very special celebration honoring our dear friend, Rev. John Goodale, as he embarks on the exciting journey of retirement. As we reflect on John's remarkable 31 years of devoted service to First Pres, we are filled with gratitude for the many ways he has touched the lives of our congregation. Throughout his tenure, John has served in a variety of impactful roles, most recently as the Caring Ministries Pastor, and previously as Pastor of Community Life, Pastor of Congregational Care, and Minister of Single Adults. In each position, John has consistently demonstrated deep empathy, unwavering dedication, and a genuine commitment to nurturing the spiritual and emotional well-being of our church family. His wisdom, compassion, and love for all who walk through our doors have left an enduring mark on our community.
As John transitions into retirement, we are pleased to announce that, thanks to our First Pres Forward initiatives, he will continue to bless us as our Staff Chaplain. Our staff is already experiencing the benefits of John’s caring presence and insightful guidance, as he meets individually with team members to offer support and encouragement. This ongoing connection ensures that John’s legacy of care will remain a vital part of our church life.
