God is not done writing the story. Hang in there. God is at work in good and ill. We like to think that God is enlisted in our story. We have a great plan, God, so please get on board! Christopher Wright wrote, “It is not so much the case that God has a mission for his church in the world, as that God has a church for his mission in the world. Mission was not made for the church; the church was made for mission – God’s mission.” Our hope is to be fully in God’s hands as an instrument for His mission to save a lost and fallen world. Do not lose hope. Do not shrink back. Have faith. God is on the case.
