The Great Rescue
The Great Rescue: The Peril
- Michael Thornton
Nov. 27
There is hardly a more dire or more accurate picture of the position we find ourselves in when separated from God. We are one open sore from head to foot. To be in sin is to be separated from the Holy One, the Author of Life. To be separated from the Author of Life is to be subject to death. Sometimes we neglect to truly ponder the weight of our sin and the peril we have pitched ourselves into. You don’t appreciate the medicine until you fully understand the sickness. We are sick. We are lost. But God is launching a Great Rescue plan.
